MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CERAMIC CATEGORY
The modern and contemporary ceramics design brand is the result of the creative and artistic impulse of Master Giuseppe Liberati, who creates his artworks in Italy in his ‘Ceramiche Liberati’ workshop. For the Master Giuseppe Liberati, who was disciple and follower of the memorable Bozzelli’s workshop, research has a fundamental role. The techniques used to craft his ceramic artworks, with modern and contemporary design, have been studied and developed using special kinds of clays, glazes, metallic oxids and thick plate glasses. These are sometimes embellished with gold, shimmers and metallic effects created through the three-firing technique, besides the already known raku and reflections techniques. The suggested idea of modern ceramic takes its shape in a brand of artistic artifacts that go from lassic interior design – ceramic vases, wall plates, centerpieces, panels, pictures, sculptures – to more refined and particular creations – ceramic artistic panels, full-reliefs, high and low reliefs, artistic sculptures made with mixed techniques, reinterpretations and recreations of great classics of art, luxury gadgets, cups and plaques in modern ceramic. The crafting techniques are constantly updated and always keeping up with the demands of the artistic world. All the modern artworks are moulded, crafted, refined and decorated by hand using the best materials for ceramic.
Here are some examples of the modern techniques:
– craquelé ceramic, raku naked;
– stoneware with and without glazes;
– reflections technique;
– semi-refractory ceramic;
– black clay crafting;
– use of thick plate glasses;
– pure gold and platinumcooked with the three-firing technique;
– ceramic lusters;
– Crawling technique and so forth;
– “tear-off enamel” decoration technique;
– mixed technique.
