The Italian ceramic onion jar with lid is crafted and decorated by hand with the decoration “Teate” by Ceramiche Liberati. It is made with artisanal methods and materials suitable for food use. The object is made of red clay, moulded and finished by hand; the glaze colour is ivory, hand decorated. The holes on the jar allow to keep under control the dampness level in the jar, this reduces mold and bad smells formation. Each phase of the making of the jar, from moulding to decoration, follow the best artisanal tradition of Italian ceramic making.
The decoration Teate has a light background, indeed the glazed used is antique white, while the painting is a monochrome floral motif in the shades of blue. On every object crafted by Ceramiche Liberati, the “Teate” decoration is a central monochrome floral band, with waving lines or arches that surround the motif. The painted flowers are some small five-petals violets, spaced out by soft-curved branches enriched by long-shaped leaves. One of the typical elements of the “Teate” decoration are four or five dots, on the curve of the peduncle in the internal part of the floral band.
The ceramic onion jar is a high-quality majolica container in traditional style, useful, refined and comfortable, suitable to every kind of kitchen. The jar is easy to clean with a moist cloth and can also be washed in the dishwasher at max 60°. When purchasing, to each object there will be attached a Guarantee Certificate as a warranty of the craftsmanship of the product.
