The Christmas ball (diameter 32 cm) was entirely handmade and hand-drilled with typical artisanal methods.
To drill the sphere mastery, skills and many working hours are required. The clay thickness and the delicacy of the spherical shape, make the shaping process very hard, even when the clay has the right hardness. Once the free-hand drilling phase is completed, the ball is cooked with the bisque technique and then covered in a transparent crystalline glaze. Thus, the matt crystalline on white terracotta does not alter the colour and gives shine to the object. The last phase is the second cooking that strengthens the shape. The Christmas Sphere has an opaque white colour, very elegant and polished.
This refined Christmas ball is an unique piece. Even if it perfectly suits for Christmas decorations, it can be a sophisticated decor element for every room and for every month of the year.
The ball is equipped with its clip, as in the picture, ready to be hung on the tree and used as a Christmas decoration. The artisanal making process of the ceramic Christmas balls is guaranteed by the Guarantee Certificate attached to the object at the time of purchase.
