Raku ceramic bottle checkered motif
Raku ceramic bottle, hand decorated with checkered motif, light and dark contrast
The checkered bottle, with its refined and polished style, was entirely made and decorated by hand. Each phase of the making of the ceramic bottle, from the moulding to the decoration, follows the best artisanal tradition of Italian ceramic making.
The unique checkered motif of the Raku bottle is due to the Raku technique, an ancient, and one of the most fascinating, process of ceramic making. This kind of technique was born in Japan by an artisan named Chojiro. The main difference between majolic (traditional ceramic) and raku is that for the first one the object slowly cools down, while for the second one the object is extracted by the oven still incandescent. The temperature difference and the oxygen reduction allow to obtain very special colourings.
The cylindrical bottle made of black clay is a unique piece, this makes this artifact a unique design object with a high artistic depth. A Guarantee Certificate will be attached to every artistic artifact in order to guarantee its unicity and craftsmanship.
