Checkmate, in Italian “Scacco Matto” is the situation, in the game of chess, in which the King of one of the players is directly attacked. The name given to the bowtie decoration is inspired by a stylized chessboard. In fact, the decorative motif is a composition of pastel coloured rhombi in hot and cold tones, alternating with white spaces. The decoration is symmetrical and made with mirror effects on both bowtie sides, while the central part was left in white. The decoration of the bowtie is coloured and made with digital printing techniques.
